New promo poster. Self-promotion is such a huge part of what we (independent illustrators and designers) do in our day-to-day job. One of my favourite tasks is putting together promo tools. Towards the end of 2010 I produced a small fold-out poster, folding from A6 to A3, and it met with some really great reactions. So I’m using the exact same format to start my promo in 2011 with this new poster. It features work from three of my favourite projects from last year working with Fuseproject/PACT, Pixar and 1973ltd. This run of posters and my original poster from last year (which had different artwork and copy) were both printed by Ripe Digital, who I recommend 100% for pretty much all your printing needs!
If you are an art director, creative director or in a position to commission an illustrator, then please do get in touch or post a comment below and I can add you to my poster mailing list!
Taking photos of the snow in the Heath cemetery today, the place looks amazing and peaceful in this wether.
An A2 poster in the early stages of design, all colours look slightly strange because they have been chosen from a CMYK pantone chart. There is a slight grain effect on the background which you cant see. Ill update as soon as the final version has been finalized. Just need to get the colours working…
